Ethiopian Stock Exchange Officially Launched
Prime Minister Abiy (Dr.) officially launched the Ethiopian Stock Exchange yesterday, and a panel discussion was held on the launch program.
At the same time, the Director General said that over the past years, the work of organizing the capital market has been underway based on government policy directions, domestic economic reform and general economic reform frameworks.
He noted that the main focus was on developing a clear legal framework that would guide and regulate the capital market, and said that Capital Market Proclamation No. 1248 had been approved and entered into force.
He also mentioned that the legal framework introduced the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority, the Ethiopian Stock Exchange and institutions connecting the market.
He indicated that the proclamation has established a framework for the creation of institutions and technologies that facilitate the market.
In particular, he cited the fact that the physical trading of securities between investors has been made possible through technology.
He explained that the guidelines issued following the proclamation have created a framework for the creation of a framework that will address the problems that have been affecting investors and provide them with sufficient and quality information to help them make decisions.
He also indicated that the authority will focus primarily on investment protection.
The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority said that it will continue to work diligently to build a capital market that is trusted by the main investor in the securities market, EZA reported.
He also indicated that it will work to ensure active participation of stakeholders in the capital market, provide a variety of products and services to the market, and make it inclusive.
The Director General said that the capital market is for everyone, and that there are mechanisms that allow everyone to participate, including small and medium enterprises and the private sector.
He said that the capital market is working hard to become a sector that supports the Ethiopian economy and changes the lives of citizens.
The Ethiopian Securities Market offers three different types of markets, considering different types of businesses: the stock market, the debt securities market, and the options market.

የኢትዮጵያ የሰነደ ሙዓለ ንዋዮች ገበያ በይፋ ተጀመረ
ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዐቢይ (ዶ/ር) የኢትዮጵያ የሰነደ ሙዓለ ንዋዮች ገበያን ትናንት በይፋ ያስጀመሩ ሲሆን፥ በማስጀመሪያ መርሐ-ግብሩ ላይም የፓናል ውይይት ተካሂዷል።
በዚሁ ወቅት ዋና ዳይሬክተሯ እንዳሉት፥ ባለፉት ዓመታት ከመንግስት የፖሊሲ አቅጣጫዎች፣ ከሀገር በቀል ኢኮኖሚ ሪፎርም እና ከአጠቃላይ የኢኮኖሚ ማሻሻያ ማዕቀፎች በመነሳት የካፒታል ገበያ የማደራጀት ስራ ሲከናወን ቆይቷል፡፡
በዚህም ትልቁ ትኩረት የነበረው ግልጽ የሆነ የካፒታል ገበያን የሚመራና የሚቆጣጣር የህግ ማዕቀፍ ማዘጋጀት እንደነበር ጠቅሰው፥ የካፒታል ገበያ አዋጅ ቁጥር 1248 ጸድቆ ወደ ስራ መገባቱን ተናግረዋል።
የህግ ማዕቀፉ የኢትዮጵያ ካፒታል ገበያ ባለስልጣን፣ የኢትዮጵያ የሰነደ ሙዓለ ንዋዮች ገበያ እና ገበያውን የሚያገናኙ ተቋማት እንዲተዋወቁ ማድረጉንም አንስተዋል፡፡
አዋጁ ገበያውን ለማቀላጠፍ የሚያመቹ ተቋማትና ቴክኖሎጂዎች እንዲፈጠሩ የሚያስችል የአሰራር ማዕቀፍ መዘርጋቱን አመልክተዋል።
በተለይም በኢንቨስትሮች መካከል በአካል ይደረግ የነበረውን የሙዓለ ሰነዶች ግብይት በቴክኖሎጂ እንዲሆን ማድረግ መቻሉን ለአብነት ጠቅሰዋል።
አዋጁን ተከትለው የወጡ መመሪያዎች ኢንቨስተሮችን ይጎዱ የነበሩ ችግሮች ለመቅረፍና ለውሳኔ የሚያግዛቸውን በቂና ጥራታቸውን የጠበቁ መረጃዎች እንዲያገኙ የሚያስችል የአሰራር ማዕቀፍ መፈጠሩንም አስረድተዋል።
ባለስልጣኑ በዋናነት የኢንቨስትመንት ጥበቃ ላይ ትኩረት አድርጎ እንደሚሰራም አመላክተዋል፡፡
የኢትዮጵያ ካፒታል ገበያ ባለስልጣን በቀጣይ በሙዓለ ሰነድ አቅራቢ ዋና ኢንቨስተሩ የሚታመን የካፒታል ገበያ ለመገንባት በትኩረት ይሰራል ማለታቸውን ኢዜአ ዘግቧል፡፡
በካፒታል ገበያው የባለድርሻ አካላት የነቃ ተሳትፎ እንዲኖር፣ በርካታ ምርቶች እና አገልግሎቶች ለገበያው እንዲቀርቡ እና ሁሉን አሳታፊ ለማድረግ እንደሚሰራም አመልክተዋል።
ካፒታል ገበያ የሁሉም ለሁሉም ነው ያሉት ዋና ዳይሬክተሯ÷ አነስተኛና መካከለኛ ኢንተርፕራይዞች እና የግሉ ዘርፍን ጨምሮ ሁሉም ሰው እንዲሳተፍ የሚያስችሉ አሰራሮች መኖራቸውን ጠቁመዋል፡፡
በአጠቃላይ የካፒታል ገበያ የኢትዮጵያን ጥቅል ኢኮኖሚ የሚደገፍ እና የዜጎችን ሕይዎት የሚቀይር ዘርፍ እንዲሆን በትኩረት ይሰራል ብለዋል፡፡
የኢትዮጵያ የሰነደ ሙዓለ ንዋዮች ገበያ የተለያዩ የንግድ ዓይነቶችን ታሳቢ በማድረግ ሦስት ልዩ ልዩ የገበያ ዓይነቶችን የሚያቀርብ ሲሆን÷ እነርሱም የአክሲዮን ገበያ፣ የዕዳ ሰነድ ገበያ እና የአማራጭ ገበያ ናቸው፡፡
